With the loss of several experienced and successful players from last years squad, this years senior team is a very youthful and inexperienced side. The side is in a phase of rebuilding and if the club can keep some of the talented players it currently has, the future looks good.

The season so far has been one of ups and downs with some good wins, close losses and some excellent individual performances. The lack of experience has really shown in the teams batting with the exception of Chris Wilson, who has lead from the front with the bat, scoring 439 runs at an average of 36 including a top score of 111. Bowling however has been much more consistent with Andrew Vann and Mike O’Sullivan bowling economically and taking wickets consistently. Andrew took an impressive 8-52 against New Brighton being the highlight.

The remainder of the season we will look to improve individually and as a team and put in more consistent performances. There will need to be a real emphasis on batting responsibly if we are to win games more regularly.
